ABOUT THIS ADVENTURE

What are Stations of the Cross?

Throughout many, many generations, Christians have spent time during Holy Week looking at Stations of the Cross.  It sounds fancy, but what they did was go around to  different stations looking at pictures of what Jesus did during Holy Week.

What is geocaching?

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices.  Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates.  Though many may do it racing against others, ours is not a competition.

Why we’re doing it . . .

Reason #1:  Spending time thinking about what Jesus has done for us reminds us how deep God’s love is.  It gives us a chance to think about the difference it makes in our lives and take time to thank God for that gift.

Reason #2:  It’ll be fun and faith-filled!

How to participate . . .

The first thing to do is to download, color, and cut out a Flat Jesus.  You'll take him on this adventure.

The next thing you need is a Guidebook with the directions and devotions.

Finally, drive to each location, take a picture of Jesus there, and read the devotion in the Guidebook.  All of the destinations are in Liberty within a 2-mile radius of each other.

Want to skip the pictures and Flat Jesus?

You don't have to do that part.  But don't skip the devotions in the Guidebook!
