About Virginia:

Virginia Louise Bell, 86, of Liberty, MO., passed peacefully on July 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born August 5, 1934 to Donald Reys Sr. and Alma Reys in St Joe, MO. She graduated from West Platte High School in 1952, after which she married her loving husband of fifty-five years, Thomas “Junior” Bell.

Virginia worked at the Personnel Pool Temp Agency until her retirement in 1994, after which her life was full of volunteering with organizations and causes close to her heart. She volunteered at the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired in Kansas City, MO. for several years. She was also a charter member of Hosanna! Lutheran Church in Liberty, MO., was a liaison between the mission builders who came to assist the new church and the congregation, and she was also an extremely active member of WELCA, Women’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

When she was not volunteering with various organizations, Virginia filled her life with God, family, friends, the Kansas City Royals, and traveling. She was an avid seamstress and quilter, two talents which she used to bless her church, family, and friends. Virginia loved everyone like family and never met a stranger.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Reys Sr. and Alma Reys, her husband Thomas, and her daughter Cora. She is survived by her siblings, Donald Reys JR., Robert “Bobby” Reys (Barbara), and Donna; daughter, Connie Yazell (Dale) of Liberty, MO and Son In Law Bradley Rodick; grandchildren Alma Rodick (Tyler), Christy Yazell, Joe Rodick (Ashlee), Cindy Yazell, and Jason Rodick (Alyssa); and 8 great grandchildren.
